The Naval Chaplaincy School and Center moved to Fort Jackson along with the Air Force Chaplain Corps College in 2009 to form the Armed Forces Chaplaincy Center as part of BRAC realignment.

Hanging in one of the halls of the Naval Chaplaincy School is this church pennant with a plaque that reads: “This church pennant flew over Naval Air Station Quonset Point, Rhode Island, October 1941 for first Divine Service. Donated by Chaplain John D. Zimmermann.”
